David is currently vice chairman of CDIB Capital Group and also chairman of subsidiaries, including CDIB Capital Management Corporation and CDIB Private Equity (China) Corporation. In addition to providing business guidance and direction to the aforementioned companies, he serves as an investment evaluation member of CDF Group, assisting in discussion and review of the group’s investment projects.
David participated in negotiations between CDF and Fujian Electronics & Information (Group) Co., Ltd. and Jiangsu Govtor Capital Group, successfully establishing two renminbi-denominated equity investment funds with asset under management totaling RMB$ 2.0bn (ca. US$ 300.4mn)** and creating a cooperation model for cross-strait equity investment.
Prior to joining CDF, David worked at Central Investment Co,. Ltd. of the Kuomintang for 12 years, serving as chief executive officer of Central Investment Holding Company and chairman of Asia Pacific Holdings Corp. Between 1974 and 1989, he was in the United States, working at Corning Glass, Puritan-Bennett Corp. and Union Bank, as well as teaching at California State University.
David graduated from the Department of Agricultural Economics, National Taiwan University. He received an MBA from California State University, Long Beach and Doctor of Philosophy from Nova University.
Chief Executive Officer
In 2014, Hans participated in the establishment of CPEC Huakai Private Equity (Fujian) Co., Ltd., as well as in fundraising of the first tranche of RMB$ 1.0bn (ca. US$ 150.2mn)** for CPEC Huachuang Private Equity Fund (Fujian) Co,. Ltd. (limited partnership). At present, he is CEO of CPEC Huakai Private Equity (Fujian) Co., Ltd., in charge of planning investment strategies, executing investment businesses and daily administration for funds.
Hans has 20 years of experience in equity investment. He obtained a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering from National Tsing Hua University and a master’s degree in finance from National Taiwan University. After graduation, Hans worked as Production Project Engineer at a semiconductor manufacturing company, where he gained insight into production procedures used in the high-end manufacturing sector. He later joined China Development Industrial Bank and has worked at the bank ever since, gaining experience in industry research, corporate credit analysis, investment management, and the development and execution of the investment business. He has expertise in the TMT sector and in analysis of business models of newly established companies.
Hans was a board member of Taiwan Stock Exchange-listed Asia Electronic Materials Co., Ltd. and Dynamic Electronics Co., Ltd. At present, he serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Fujian Magical Times Cultural Co,. Ltd., Shenzhen Virtual Reality Technology Co,. Ltd. and Beijing Auto-link World Technology Co., Ltd.
Susan participated in the establishment of CPEC Huakai Private Equity (Fujian) Co., Ltd. in 2014 and is now Vice President of the company, in charge of developing projects for funds and executing the investment business.
Susan has been in the equity investment business for 12 years. She obtained her MBA and Bachelor of Economics from National Taiwan University. She has been working at China Development Industrial Bank since graduation, initially responsible for industry research and later engaged in investment management and the development and execution of the investment business. She specializes in the assessment and analysis of projects in the Internet and health-care fields.
Susan was a board member of Subtron Technology Co., Ltd., which is listed on Taiwan’s emerging stock market.
Max participated in the establishment of CPEC Huakai Private Equity (Fujian) Co., Ltd. in 2014 and is now Vice President of the company, in charge of executing the investment business.
Max has been in the equity investment business for 15 years. He graduated from the Department of Business Administration of National Taiwan University with a bachelor degree and obtained Master of Financial Management from the University of Wisconsin in the United States. Max has been with China Development Industrial Bank since graduation, with duties encompassing investment management and the development and execution of the investment business. He was assigned by the bank to be Chief Finance Officer at YCL Electronics Co., Ltd., a communication components company, assisting in the establishment of management procedures and planning for stock exchange listing. His main expertise is the operation and management of finance tasks, capital planning, and assessment of the TMT sector’s business model for investment decisions.
Max was a board member of Luminous Town Electric Co., Ltd. and Kentec Inc., both in the electronics sector. At present, he serves as the independent director of Gomaji, an Internet company listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange, and Simula Technology.
