    KGI Capital (Singapore) Pte. Ltd., KGI Securities’ Singapore subsidiary, in 2013 became the first Taiwanese-funded enterprise awarded approval from the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) to engage in futures contracts, including futures options transactions, and to join the Singapore Exchange (SGX) as a Derivatives Trading and Derivatives Clearing Member.
     
    In order to satisfy the wealth management needs of Asia-Pacific high net worth clients, KGI actively expanded its overseas subsidiaries, and acquired Ong First Tradition, a leading futures and FX broker in Singapore, in 2014 and both KGI Capital (Singapore) and Ong First Tradition were merged and renamed to KGI Ong Capital to offer KGI’s clients a complete line of futures and derivatives products, including foreign exchange and securities (options on equity indices).
     
    In 2015, AmFraser Securities Pte. Ltd., a clearing member of SGX-ST, was also acquired and renamed to KGI Fraser Securities Pte. Ltd. to supplement KGI with a broad range of licensed services, comprising dealing in securities, securities financing and custodial services for securities. In October 2016, both KGI Ong Capital and KGI Fraser Securities were renamed as KGI Futures (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. and KGI Securities (Singapore) Pte. Ltd respectively to align with the Group.
     
    KGI Securities’ Singapore subsidiaries strengthen KGI Securities’ regional advantages and synergies. With its expansion in Singapore, KGI Securities serves as a one-stop shop and enables clients to diversify their investment and wealth management portfolios via a complete line of equities trading, futures and FX product offerings.
