Child welfare has been the focus of our community initiatives in the past three years. We have invested over NT$31 million in welfare relating to child education and healthcare. Since 2005, CDFH has organized staff donations to the "Sheltered Baking Workshop" operated by the Eden Social Welfare Foundation by buying the "Food-loving Babies" charity lunchboxes prepared by the workshop. The donations were used to fund the perpetual operation of "Sheltered Baking Workshop" , where handicapped children are given the chance to practice self-reliance. Over three years, more than 4,700 charity lunchboxes have been bought by CDFH and its staff for an aggregate donation amount of NT$9 million. More than two-thirds of our colleagues have forthwith gifted these lunchboxes to local foster homes in Taiwan to spread the message of charity.
